The IT Training Center has formed strategic partnerships with IT/computer training and service providers in order to deliver the most comprehensive schedule of technology course offerings and breadth of services possible.  The combined partner-driven IT/computer course offerings, delivery options and services are unsurpassed by most other IT training providers in the Upper Midwest.

These partnerships represent a seamless and successful blending of public and private education/services organizations.

 

Sunset Learning Institute

Sunset Learning InstituteSLI has been a top-tier Cisco Learning Solutions Partner/Develper since 1996. Using Cisco authorized courseware and hands-on labs, they provide training on Cisco routing and switching, unified communications, security, wireless, contact center and data center technologies with one of the highest student evaluation ratings in the world.

What is High-Definition Instructor-Led Training (HD-ILT) and how can it help you?

HD-ILT from SLI, is the world's first distance training system utilizing state-of-the-art, life-size high definition video & audio combined with patented remote lab access. This unique combination provides students with the same experience as if they were actually in the classroom with the instructor. Utilizing HD-ILT provides an accessible and cost-effective solution to training delivery anywhere in the world.

Using remote lab access that in-classroom students are using combined with life-size high-definition audio and video, students at a HDILT facility receive the same experience as those in the classroom. Instructors are able to see and hear students in the HD-ILT real-time, no different than the "live" students sitting in their classrom. Remote access to student PCs at the HD-ILT facility, allow the instructor to aid and assist students with lab exercises.

 

MnSCU partnerships

The IT Training Center has formal partnerships with CustomTraining/Continuing Ed. Departments at four Colleges.  All Colleges are members of the MN State Colleges and Universities system.  A common schedule of IT/computer courses is promoted to each partner’s constituents and clients.  Each College contributes the strength of their own programs/courses/resources to make programs better for all.  The partner Colleges are:

  • Normandale Community College
  • Inver Hills Community College
  • Century College
  • Minneapolis College

 

The Training Associates

The Training Associates, a leading provider training and training services, extends their experience and resources to the IT Training Center of Dakota County Technical College.  The Training Associates has 2,000 trainers on agreement, taught over 500,000 class-days, and offers over 10,000 standard and custom IT and professional business skills courses.  The Training Associates is a Microsoft Certified Partner for Learning Solutions.

The partnership combines to deliver the top quality Microsoft technology classes using some of the best trainers available.  Companies are welcome to apply Microsoft Software Assurance Vouchers toward payment for Microsoft IT classes co-sponsored by the IT Training Center of Dakota County Technical College and The Training Associates.
